Chapter Five

“We are?” she managed.

“Yes, we are. Stand up.”

Are you nuts? Give me a minute. A lot of minutes.

When Tex repeated his command, she started to shake her head. Growling, he grabbed her upper arms and hauled her to her feet. She felt like the proverbial rag doll.

“What do you want?” she asked, careful not to lean away from him.

“We aren’t done, Star. I paid for a night with you, and I’m going to get it.”

“About that paying me business.” Her head was starting to clear and she wanted him to know. “I haven’t seen any coins yet.”

“You’ll get it. Maybe a tip if you please me enough.”

Glancing down, she noted that he was beginning to harden. “You think you’re up to it, do you? The old man’s still got it?”

“Old?” He shook her a little.

“Hey, stop it.” She slapped his wrists but only lightly since she really didn’t have any objection to what he was doing.

“I will when I’m good and ready. So far I’ve been a gentleman, but now—”

“Gentleman? Says who? Your dirty boots messed up my expensive carpet and you might have ruined my outfit.”

“Shut up! I’m running this show. Now, what do I want for round two?”

Round two sounded like a mind-blowing promise. Still, a gal couldn’t sound too easy, could she? “Who said I wanted another bonking?”

“I’m voting for both of us. Hmm.” He studied the room, or rather what they could see of it, in great detail, effortlessly keeping her with him. Her shoulders began to tingle from loss of blood circulation. If he held on much longer, they’d probably develop full-blown pins and needles, an intriguing possibility.

“All right,” he said at length. “Good old doggy style, with a slight twist.”

I like how you’re thinking. “What kind of twist?”

“You know what your problem is, woman? You ask too damn many questions. I like my women silent and willing.”

She chuckled. “Same as I like my men.”

He released her, but before she could begin to plan her next move, he spun her away so she faced the bed. “Lean over.”

“What? Wait just a cotton pickin’ minute. This is my establishment. I’ve never taken no orders from a man. Besides, we used up the protection.”

“Not all of it.” He slid his hand under the closest pillow and extracted another condom.

“Put it on,” she said.

“I intend to. Now stand there and behave while I tend to a little matter.”

He made his point by opening the packet, shaking out a rubber, and putting it on. “You know what you’re supposed to do,” he said. “Lean over and wave that sexy ass of yours in the air.”

Interesting. Interesting indeed. Although she shot him a withering look, she bent forward at the waist and propped her hands against the bed. The position aimed her buttocks at him in a way that gave up all pretense at being demure, not that Star was known for her modesty.

“Lovely. Just lovely.”

Starting with the backs of her thighs, he treated her to a massage that went up and over her buttocks until he reached the small of her back.
